Thank you for your interest in applying to Mary Meyer School. Our preschool, located in a graystone house on Pine Grove Avenue, has been a part of this Lakeview neighborhood for more than seventy years!
Our application process is meant to allow you to get to know our preschool and our philosophy. It also provides us with the opportunity to get to know you and the things that are important to you in your child’s preschool. Our admission process is outlined below. The annual tuition for the 2016-17 school year is $10,490 per child. Tuition for the 2017-18 school year will be set later this winter.

November 9, 2016, December 7, 2016, January 18, 2017
Attend a Prospective Parent Meeting. This meeting, held in the evenings during the fall and winter, will allow you to hear more about our program, see our school and classroom space and meet current Mary Meyer School parents. You can attend this meeting before or after submitting an application and is not a required part of the process (though it is recommended). Since we only have room for a limited amount of people in each meeting, reservations are required. This meeting is for parents only.
February 3, 2017
Submit an application for admission and pay the $35 application fee. This application can be submitted at any time between September and February. Please call us to discuss possible vacancies if you are applying after our deadline.
January – February, 2017
Attend a Classroom Visit. This visit is a required part of the process and takes place after you have submitted an application for admission. You will have the opportunity to observe a class in session to observe the activities, teachers and rhythms of the day. Parents will visit from 8:50 – 9:35am or 12:50 – 1:35pm. Your host during this time will be a current Mary Meyer School parent who is happy to answer any questions you may have. This visit is for parents only.
Admission decisions mailed. We will consider your child for admission to Mary Meyer School once all of the parts of the process have been completed. We are a small school and must wait to hear from our current students about their plans for returning before announcing admission decisions for new students. If you are offered admission you must return to us a signed contract and $1,500 deposit. Admission decisions will continue after April as space becomes available.
